Inline translation

Is "inline translation"(is that what it's called?) patented by Google or is Microsoft too proud to just accept the fact that that is how it should work?

Bing is OK...but adding html elements in a page and displaying the translated page in a new tab is just annoying. It is time consuming and destroys the user experience.

WHEN is Microsoft just going to do the same thing Google did to Chrome.

And I know it's not hard or impossible for them to do so.

There must be some other reason why this isn't in ie10 by default.

And I'd sure like to know what that reason is so I can know who exactly is responsible for making people switch to another browser because of "little" things like this.
